Sounds of Summer at Greenway Station

The shopping center's summer concert series, which is free to the public, ends its season Saturday with a performance by the funky drummer, Clyde Stubblefield. The stage is in the parking area near Cosi. Food samples from area restaurants will be available, as well as a kids' activity area.

Midvale Heights Neighborhood Garage Sale

One of the largest Madison neighborhood garage sales is set for this weekend, featuring more than 60 locations. Unique items are sure to be numerous. The event is the ninth annual in the neighborhood.

Atlas Improv Company Performance

Labor Day Sheepdog Trial

What do stunning views, summer weather, and the world's smartest dogs have in common? They all come together at the Wisconsin Working Stock Dog Association's 23rd Annual Labor Day Sheepdog Trial. More than 100 of the top sheepdogs from across the U.S. will compete.  Food is available. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.

Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon

The Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon will be broadcast live on Ch. 27 Monday. The telethon, with East Towne Mall as its local site, will have many local celebrities working the phones, plus local MDA families. New Glarus Wilhelm Tell Festival

A New Glarus Labor Day weekend tradition since 1938, New Glarus continues its 71-year tradition of telling the story of how Wilhelm Tell, his crossbow, and an apple helped Switzerland gain independence from the Habsburg tyrant, Herman Gessler. In addition to the theater performance, the festival includes food, music and a yodeling contest.

Laborfest
